Mission of Family Support Network
of Southeastern North Carolina (FSN-SENC)
To serve families and service providers in North Carolina to meet the needs of families with premature infants or children with, or at risk for developmental disabilities, behavorial disorders, or chronic illness.
Family Support Network-SENC provides and is involved with:

An understanding listener and emotional support;

Practical suggestions for coping with day-today activities and concerns;

Opportunities to share the satisfactions, challenges, and joys of life with a child who has special needs;

A model of hope for the future; Information about community services.


A resource center available to parents, families and professionals statewide. This computerized resource center provides access to important information and materials about:
- Services, agencies and other resources;

Specific health problems or disabilities and handicaps;

Parent support programs throughout the state and nation;

Assistive technology (devices and services that help people with disabilities in their daily activities)

Family Support Network-SENC Staff
The office of the Family Support Network-Southeastern North Carolina (FSN-SENC) is located in Wilmington, NC. With a staff of three full- and part-time employees, FSN-SENC is focused on making sure that any individual involved with a child with special needs has a resource to him/her when needed.
The staff of FSN-SENC is comprised of:

- Teresa Mebane, Parent/School Liason
- Genon Wall, Lead NICU Coordiantor
